Friday October 16 (Day 02): Private Visit between the Paws of the Sphinx, Coptic Cairo & Khan El Khalili Bazaar

As the sun rises, we will anchor our entire journey with a special visit to the Sphinx. Halle will unlock the Sphinx enclosure for us, and we will create our Opening Ceremony on the exact spot Pharaohs stood thousands of years before. We will open the chakra of our third eye, our second sight, as we prepare the way for our pilgrimage. Opening our third eye to the Truth in our hearts, we call in the protection and intentions for this trip. This sacred space is ancient, timeless and truly powerful, inviting all religions, beliefs and attitudes. Here we will witness the sun rising directly between the magnificent paws of the Sphinx, who sees all of our incarnations on this planet and who keeps safe the Hall of Records where our stories are kept.

This is where your journey truly begins…

We often have guests who tell us afterwards, “I could go home satisfied right now.” Of course, we always reply, “Just wait – this is only the beginning!” You will experience your own sacred journey here, led by Halle and guided by the Goddess.

After a group photo of the Sphinx and the Pyramids, we will head back to our hotel for the first of many sumptuous breakfasts. Then our Orientation will anchor our intentions for our entire tour, as well as introduce us to our ground team, including our expert local guide and licensed Egyptologist, who has been guiding spiritual tours for three decades. His combination of history and storytelling is unparalleled, and each site will awaken further for you with his breadth of knowledge and his understanding of the deep Mysteries present at each sacred site.

Mid-day, we will visit Coptic Cairo, a part of Old Cairo. Halle will share a personal story relating to the Holy Family’s time being hidden at the Church of Abu Serga (Saint Sergius), and we will see the local Synagogue, Mosque, and Convent of St. George, all within the narrow alleys of this ancient part of the city.

After a local lunch, we will have the opportunity to go shopping at the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. One of the oldest shopping districts in the world, the Khan El Khalili is like going back to the time of Ali Baba and Aladdin. Merchants have been trading on this site since at least the 14th century. In 1384, an emir named Al Khalili built a great Khan, a three-story hostelry intended to accommodate traveling merchants and their wares. Buyers visited the Khan for the goods brought in on the merchant caravans, and the selling and bartering spread to the neighboring streets. The earliest surviving parts of the bazaar today are several great stone gateways that date back to the 1500s. The energy of this traditional market, together with the labyrinthine layout of the streets, are unchanged for nearly a thousand years.

In addition to this unique shopping experience, throughout our journey you will have the opportunity to purchase high-quality gold and silver, silk and wool carpets, essential oils and perfumes, and papyrus and Egyptian cotton, and to see how each is made at these trusted craft studios.

Dinner on your own when we return to our hotel.

Overnight at Steigenberger Pyramids Hotel (Breakfast, Lunch)

Saturday October 17 (Day 04): Cairo / Aswan (Elephantine Island & Nubian Village)

After Breakfast, we transfer in our air-conditioned coach to Cairo airport, where we board our short flight to Aswan, and check into our deluxe Dahabeya, the Nile Lily.

Ten staterooms, our own chef and butlers, and attention to every detail will make you feel like you are sailing the Nile as Cleopatra did — which is quite accurate, as Caesar and Cleopatra honeymooned on their own dahabeya. This is truly a luxury boat, with jewel-like en-suite staterooms, a full dining room and delightful decks that allow you to relax on the Nile day after day. We will take many of our meals in the open air, sailing in a much more leisurely way than we can ever do on the large cruise ships. Most travelers to Egypt take a 3-night cruise, 4-nights max, and spend all except 24-36 hours in ports. We will have the true luxury of sailing for hours longer on multiple days, as well as pulling over to the side of the Nile whenever we like – yes, surprises await you when we do!! Just imagine the night sky, unspoiled by light pollution, as you drift down the lazy river. It’s no wonder many guests with insomnia tell us they’ve never slept better!

After a delicious lunch, we will enjoy a Felucca sail to Elephantine Island and walk through the layers of time that archaeological explorations have unveiled. Late this afternoon, we will ride camels out to a Nubian Village along the Nile, then through this small market town. We will experience a Nileside sacred circle and enjoy a drink on the Nile before boarding our ferryboat home.

A yummy Egyptian dinner aboard our ship, then a quiet evening, perhaps journaling or remembering our amazing visit to the Sphinx. Overnight, the ship moors on the Nile banks of Aswan.

Overnight at our Dahabeya (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Sunday October 18 (Day 05): (Aswan) Private Visit to Philae temple

Before Dawn, we rise and take a short coach and motorboat ride to the island of Philae. The Temple here was consecrated to Isis, Egypt’s Divine Mother, over 3000 years ago This isle represents a fusion of three great civilizations-Egyptian, Greek and Roman. At Philae, we will focus on the root chakra, connection to the great cosmic mother, to the power of creation, and to Egyptian magic. Privately and exclusively we will experience a ceremony in the Holy of Holies (the inner sanctuary), followed by a sunrise meditation at the Gates of Isis.

As the afternoon sun is high in the sky, we set sail in earnest, traveling slowly up the Nile on the way to Kom Ombo. You will feel completely at home aboard this ship, and unwind as we sail the timeless Nile. Perhaps a dip in the hot tub? Sunset yoga on the top deck? Enjoy our Afternoon tea. Cocktails and Mocktails will be served at 5pm promptly every evening. Then an authentic Egyptian dinner will be served.

Overnight on our Dahabeya (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Monday October 19 (Day 06): Kom Ombo temple

After breakfast on one of our decks as we sail the river, we journey on to Kom Ombo, the only dual temple in Egypt. The Healing Temple of Kom Ombo is a glorious, picturesque ruin along the Banks of the Nile. This dramatic temple, poised between the edge of the river and the encroaching desert sand, is dedicated to two gods – Sobek the crocodile god of strength, fortitude, fertility and rebirth, and Horus the Hawk-headed son of Isis and Osiris. The duality of light /dark ,ying /yang , conscious/unconscious is all apparent at this ancient site. One of the most powerful places in Kom Ombo is the Seat of Neutrality, which is placed on the exact centerline between the parts of the temple that are dedicated to Horus / Sobek and Light /Dark.

And it is here at Kom Ombo that we will be initiated into another one of the ancient mysteries, learning how to overcome fear. The sacral chakra will be opened at this site, which will be an almost private visit – as opposed to the ten-thousand visitors others must suffer when all the big cruise ships stop at once.

A leisurely lunch when we return to the Nile Lily, then this afternoon, we sail to Edfu. Dinner will be aboard our ship, then we overnight moored beside a Nile island in Edfu.

Overnight on our Dahabeya (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Tuesday October 20 (Day 07): Edfu Temple

Our adventure today leads us to Edfu Temple, where Horus, the falcon-headed god, is honored. Horus is associated with higher vision and clarity.

When you approach the well-preserved temple complex, you become aware of its enormous dimensions, the vast courtyard and forest of towering columns. The side chambers of the temple of Horus show the complexity of ancient rites; they include a healing chamber, a perfumery, and singers’ rooms. One chamber, called the House of Life, stored all of the sacred texts used in seasonal and daily rituals.

Here you will learn the story of Isis and Osiris, Hathor and Horus, Set and Nepthys. This temple offers a deeper exploration of the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine qualities as they relate to the story of the Eye of Horus, his myth and power. The left eye represents the lunar, the moon, the intuitive, and the feminine energy. The right eye is connected to the solar, the masculine, the action, and the yang energy. Both are necessary for true power to exist. Our sacred initiation here will focus on the solar plexus chakra, and the struggle to break free from our base desires into the higher realms of love and awakening.

This afternoon, Halle will hold a special session to anchor the shifts that have already taken place. Calling in the Goddess Energies, including that of the Magdalene, Halle will help you integrate the insights you have gathered so far on this journey.

Then it’s teatime on deck, or cocktails and mocktails if you prefer. We settle in for our sail to Esna enjoying yet another (sigh) delish dinner and the sharing and camaraderie of your new initiate family.

Overnight at our Dahabeya moored beside an island in Esna. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Wednesday October 21 (Day 08): Sail to Esna

A leisurely day awaits you. After breakfast, we set off on a full day sail, arriving and passing through the locks at Esna. While we wait, if you ever wanted to shop from the deck of your ship, today’s your day! Enterprising young locals toss Egyptian clothing and tablecloths to you. Send back money or the goods - you choose!

Shortly after, we arrive in Luxor just in time for a late afternoon lunch.

Our Dahabeya will moor in Luxor overninght. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Thursday October 22 (Day 09): Karnak & Luxor temple

Just after it opens at dawn, we will visit the magnificent Karnak Temple. Karnak is the largest temple complex in Egypt – and a powerful place of healing. It is dedicated to the Gods Amun and Mut. As you enter, you walk between a row of rams headed sphinxes, which originally connected Karnak with Luxor Temple two miles away, and is currently being restored. We will take some time to visit the sacred Lake of Karnak, asking for purification as we place our intentions in the Lake.

Outside the main halls is a small chapel dedicated to Sekhmet, her consort Ptah and their son Nefertum. Sekhmet, the lioness Goddess of compassion and courage, is associated with feminine fire and healing through destruction. She is a renowned healer, known for her magic and the ability to hunt down an imbalance at its origin. In a potent private initiation, we will honor the Goddess and receive the gift of courage to be our authentic selves. For many, this time with Sekhmet is a life-changing experience. We will have a deeply powerful meditation with Sekhmet, then enjoy the shade under Hathor's sycamore tree, noted to be 2000 years old. Back on board our dahabeya for breakfast and a nap.

In the afternoon, we will enjoy lunch together, then Halle will offer a transformational workshop on bringing the ancient Egyptian god and goddess energies into our daily lives.

This evening, under the stars, we will visit the Temple of Luxor. This place is known as the Temple of Man and it is a perfect example of the Egyptian genius. We enter at the feet, journeying deeper into the temple, passing the Hall of Columns (the ribs) making our way towards the head where the Holy of Holies is located. As you walk through the body of this temple, notice how your own body feels and re-member your own birthright of radiant health as you focus on your own healing. Awaken the parts of you that were sleeping, activate divinity codes and turn on your inner light.

The Temple of Luxor houses a Christian church dating back to the late Roman period, and a mosque. Due to the accumulation of desert sand and it’s subsequent removal, the mosque entrance now hangs several stories high. Luxor Temple is its own layering of religious beliefs, covered by the sands of time and now excavated for your knowledge and pleasure.

Overnight on our Dahabeya, moored on the Nile banks of Luxor. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Friday October 23 (Day 10): West Bank (Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut Temple & Memnon statue)

After an early breakfast, we explore the West Bank of ancient Thebes, where Howard Carter discovered the Tomb of Tutankhamen in 1922. In the Valley of the Kings, with its royal tombs, we will see the riot of color that once decorated the walls of the Egyptian temples. Here we pause to witness the Egyptians’ belief in the afterlife, so strong that they chose the setting sun to mark their burial places. We will likely also see an active dig or two, as they estimate only 15% of the Valley has been excavated. Who knows how many more King Tuts are yet to be discovered?

After a brief stop at Carter’s personal residence, we will visit Queen Hatshepsut’s mortuary temple, the world’s first three-story building, cut into the side of the mountain. Honoring the only Egyptian woman to have ruled as Pharaoh, this is a monument to the power wielded by a powerhouse who defied the men around her. It also features a lovely temple to Hathor on one side, with exquisitely carved columns dedicated to the goddess of love and joy. On our way back, we stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues that now mark the entrance to the Temple of Mun, which will one day eclipse Karnak as the world’s largest temple complex. It is an active dig, with mass exploration underway.

Our final night on board will be a joyful celebration of this special and unique time together.

Overnight on our Dahabeya (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Saturday October 24 (Day 11): Dendera & Abydos Temple

After breakfast, check out and then enjoy a relaxing morning seeing the Egyptian countryside villages, as we journey to the exquisite Temple of Dendera, dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of abundance, love, fertility, childbirth, joy, music, and dance. The temple is built with a thousand-year-old zodiac ceiling that recalls the origins of Egypt; one of the world’s first sundials is also here, along with graffiti carved by Napoleon’s soldiers.

We will also visit the magnificent Temple of Isis, behind the main temple. Feel the strong energies here as we bask in the warmth left by the priests and priestesses who walked these stones thousands of years ago. Our heart chakra ceremony will be here, and we will open to the Universal love energy embodied by the goddesses Hathor and Isis.

Then we go down into the temple’s mysterious crypts, where some of the fascinating hieroglyphics seem alien in nature. The mysterious “light bulb” carvings raise theories about ancient energy sources. Some of these crypts are newly opened, and you will be among the first to see them.

We will enjoy a bus picnic for our lunch as we continue driving to Abydos. Afterwards, a nap, journaling, or re-membering all the details of our journey so far.

Late this afternoon, we will visit the temple of Abydos, dedicated to Osiris and housing the nine great beings (the Ennead). First we will visit the temple built by Seti I, which contains the most beautiful bas relief carvings of any temple in Egypt. Using sound and meditation, we will awaken the stones for healing and power. This temple sits next to and above the most ancient Osirion, one of the premier power places on the planet, and home to the tattoo of the sacred geometry Flower of Life. Here, in a private ceremony at the Osirion, we will shed what no longer serves us, leaving it behind in the Osirion pool. We will also allow the Flower of Life to imprint upon us, further facilitating the quantum leap of our awakening.

We then check into the House of Life Hotel in Abydos for our evening meal and an early night of rest.

Overnight at House of Life Abydos (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Sunday October 25 (Day 12): Suhag / Cairo (Sakkara Step Pyramid)

After a simple breakfast, we travel to Suhag Airport for our short flight to Cairo. On landing, we will drive to Sakkara. First stop will be lunch, of course! We will dine on delicious Egyptian barbecue with French service, in a relaxing courtyard under the dappled sun.

Then we visit the most impressive and powerful spots in Sakkara: the Tomb of Titi, where the Egyptian Book of the Dead is inscribed on the walls, and the newly opened Sakkara step pyramid, which has been closed to tourists for nearly two decades. A whisper can be heard across the courtyard here; claim your own voice, the right to be heard and to speak, as we pause for a brief, intense throat chakra initiation at the Temple of Sound.

Late this afternoon, we check into our final hotel, the magnificent Four Seasons Nile Plaza, where your every need is met, and your room overlooks the Nile, the Cairo Zoo, or a lovely park.

Dinner is on your own, perhaps at the wonderful shopping arcade next door, or one of the many restaurants along the Nile. Consider a spa treatment this evening, or spend time in the Turkish Hammam in the Spa.

Overnight at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza (Breakfast, Lunch)

Monday October 26 (Day 13): Private Visit to Giza Pyramids & Farewell Dinner

Before dawn, we will have a special private visit inside the Great Pyramid with our final initiation in the King's Chamber. The Great Pyramid is affiliated with the Third Eye and Crown Chakras. Here we will experience the Unity of our bodies and our souls, in a deep meditation that allows the incredible energies of this enigmatic place to permeate our cells. Whatever you are intending for yourself on your return home, it will be here that you stake your claim.

You may want to move into the restaurant here; the buffet breakfast is extensive, the dining room elegant and the service appropriate for royalty. Then the day will be yours to rest and relax, or to explore more of Cairo. Late in the afternoon, we will meet for a final recapitulation, releasing the old version of you, and the new truths you will take home.

In the evening, we will celebrate with a beautiful farewell dinner aboard a Nile cruise ship, sealing our family and initiates’ bond, and sharing a wonderful last night together.

Overnight at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza (Breakfast, Dinner)

Tuesday October 27 (Day 14): Final Departure

Transfer to Cairo Airport for your final departure. Your escort will ensure that you get checked in, and take you all the way to emigration.

You leave Egypt knowing that your time here will shape the rest of your life: unforgettable, potent, and intentional.
